How is it used?

單獨用few時表示“很少的人或物”。few和a few有時指的人或物數目雖然一樣，但few帶更強烈的否定意思。

few與可數名詞連用。

• Few of the tourists understood what the guide was saying.

沒有幾個遊客明白該導遊在說甚麼。

• Jack makes up lots of stories but writes few of them down.

傑克編了很多故事，但寫下來的不多。

• Few of their suggestions were very useful.

他們的建議沒有多少有用。

• I have read few of these books.

這些書我幾乎沒怎樣讀過。

• Few of the clothes sold in British shops are made in Britain.

英國商店出售的衣服，沒幾件是英國製的。
